Datacenter migration:How search for energy alternatives scheme?

Datacenter migration, according to industry surveys, many companies want to take control of their key businesses because of concerns about the reliability of the power supply, so they are active in seeking alternative energy sources for their data centers.
"Commercial and industrial electric reliability status" survey released, the report analyses the frost at the end of last year to 251 commercial and industrial enterprises for S&C company survey results.

The report found that 70 percent of companies were concerned about power reliability, and 40 percent said they would pay more to improve power reliability. The findings are particularly important for power companies, as 60 per cent of respondents said they were looking for ways to improve power reliability rather than their power suppliers.
"Most customers have identified their need to take their own actions to achieve the level of power reliability they need," the report said.
These companies want to look to their data centers for more reliable power standards than they currently do.They think they can buy or implement solutions to achieve the best they need. It's not surprising that 52% of these companies spend more than $50,000 a year on their data centers to improve power reliability.
"Data centers play a more active role in ensuring power reliability. Most companies (57 percent) have installed on-site power generation equipment, while another 43 percent say they will be implemented and deployed in the future. Most people want local power companies to provide better electricity. The report shows.
Companies also want to use stricter standards to measure power failure in utilities.Regulators in the evaluation of the electric power electric reliability, don't rule out major events such as storms, moreover they also ruled out the interruption lasts less than five minutes, even if these events for some manufacturers, and data center can be costly.Sixty-seven percent of respondents said they should raise the standard of power reliability.
The report also assessed business and industrial blackouts in 2017, and found that:
•50 per cent of businesses experienced more than an hour of blackouts.
•25 percent of businesses have at least one power outage every month, and 86 percent said they have experienced at least one power outage in the past year.
• 18% of businesses lost more than $100,000 due to severe power outages.
The survey was conducted in the United States and focused on manufacturing, data centers, health care, small franchise operations and energy users in education. The monthly energy consumption of the interviewees ranged from 10 mw to over 50 mw.
Grid reliability of S&C company director Jerry Yakel said: "although the United States is the cost of power outages and exact data, but no one systematically collected the most cautious customers utilities. We want to show that customers really think about power reliability, and understand the meaning of satisfaction and its drivers. It is these types of discoveries that will inspire us to create innovative solutions and keep pushing the data center industry forward.
