Only a reasonable layout of the equipment can give full play to the functions of each subsystem, facilitate the expansion of the future, facilitate the management of the operation and maintenance personnel, and save the investment. The layout of the equipment is recommended to consider the following principles:

(1) the mainframe, storage equipment, server cabinet should be arranged zoning, the mainframe, storage equipment, server cabinet and UPS, air conditioner and other equipment should be set aside for maintenance space according to the requirements of the product, allowing the overlap of the distance between the adjacent equipment.

(3) the relative position of the equipment and the reserved expansion equipment in the machine room at a reasonable level, not only conforms to the process flow of the computer system, but also facilitates the entry and cable connection of the expansion equipment in the future.
(4) the side of the server cabinet can be arranged in a distance so as to lay the Yu Qiang and weak wires (cables). The distance between each cabinet is better than the floor modulus, so that the floor with less than 30Omm will be avoided before and after the cabinet.
(5) when placing a large number of servers such as IBM690 and 670 server cabinet, the net distance between the front of the cabinet should not be less than 2.lm, so that the heat density is too high to affect the heat dissipation of the equipment.
(6) the server room with more equipment recommends the way of the head cabinet, which makes the wiring and cable converge to the column head cabinet instead of the core cabinet so as to save the twisted pair and fiber, at the same time, it is convenient to use the two level network switching equipment, and also facilitate the installation and use of the KVM system for a certain column cabinet.
(7) the installation position of the new fan should be taken from the fresh and clean air outside the outdoor air. The new wind population should not affect the appearance of the building. The outer edge of the air inlet should not be less than 2m. When the entrance of the new phoenix is located in the Green Zone, the lower edge of the air inlet should not be less than LM to reduce the dust pollution and delay the cleaning of the air filter. (8) in the effective air supply distance of the machine room, the direction of the air supply should be the same as the arrangement of the equipment. When the underfloor air supply is adopted, the direction of air conditioning should be in accordance with the direction of the arrangement of the strong and weak wire grooves in the air conditioning system, in order to reduce the resistance of the air conditioning system and give full play to the efficiency of the air conditioning system.
(9) the installation position of the exhaust blower should ensure that the exhaust port is higher than the inlet of the fresh air and avoid the short supply of air and exhaust.
(10) the outlet position of the fresh air duct should fully mix the fresh air with the return air of the air conditioner.
(11) distribution cabinet layout should be close to the terminal load to reduce cable and facilitate maintenance management.
(12) there should be a smooth evacuation route.
(13) in view of the majority of the cooling mode of the main server and server cabinet in the market, the front and back ventilated server cabinet should adopt the face to face, back to back layout. In the front of the cabinet, the floor air outlet is arranged to make the air flow form the cold and hot passage to reduce the influence of the hot air flow from the front row cabinet to the back row cabinet and give full play to the efficiency of the air conditioning system.
